The Story of Pattern Design of Historic Textiles

A look into the creative process and historic information used to create the well-known textile patterns still used today. Focus will be on 3 major historic styles, Chinoiserie, Toile & French Provincial and Arts and Crafts and their influence on current textile designs. Attendees will obtain knowledge of color trends, scale, and textile ground cloths used from each period and how they have evolved to present day designs.

Renee and Julie have been in the interior design and custom window treatment business for over ten years.  They both held teaching positions at New Hampshire Institute of Art in the interior design program and have taught numerous workshops for the International Window Coverings Expo as well as Window Coverings Association of America and Drapery and Design Pro Forum.
