The International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA)
is pleased to announce its 2003 National Conference themed, 21st Century Business: Consumers,
Connections and Communications. To be held November 6-8, 2003 at the Radisson Resort and Spa in

"This year’s conference promises a wealth of inspirational speakers, panels and activities with
information to improve your business, market your services and make effective presentations," said

design and lifestyle in the new millennium."
IFDA’s Universal Design Panels will address the growing need for modifying living and working
spaces to meet the lifespan needs of consumers, regardless of ability, from the different perspectives of
consumer, contractor, manufacturer, designer and architect. The Multicultural Marketing Panel will
feature professionals from the Latino, Asian, and African-American communities and focus on connecting
with the changing face of the U.S. consumer. These panels are not to be missed by anyone engaged in
any aspect of home furnishings products and services for both residential and commercial applications.
"These topics are of such timely importance,” claims Wirrig, “they inform our members of
demographic trends to stimulate planning for future product and services to the fastest-growing segment
of the market."
