Design Directions and Trends
What are the influencing factors and design drivers and their impact on design? Staying ahead of the curve gives the designer that extra edge. This up-to-date report is far reaching and describes, with compelling images, four trend directions (and counter-trends as well).

Delivered in many iterations over time, this far-reaching presentation has been recently given IDCEC -approved status as a .1 CEU. It was debuted in this status for the IFDA FL Chapter Day of Design, in the Miami Design District.
Color Perception and Psychology
Color is considered a powerful design tool in the built environment. Decisions related to color are best made with scientific knowledge of the attributes of color. This course highlights how perception of color directs human response in behavior and emotion. It demonstrates how perception is influenced by personal experiences and cultural identifications. The meaning of color as it has changed over time and place is explored, concluding with future directions.
This course has been approved by IDCEC (Interior Design Continuing Education Council), for 0.2CEUs for ASID, IDC, IDEC and IIDA. (A one-hour version of this program is available as a non-IDCEC course.)
This course has been well-received and reviewed by various IFDA chapters and other audiences over many years.
